Most tools check out for one week. If no one else has reserved the tool, you may be able to extend your checkout — ask a volunteer.

Browse the catalog on MyTurn, select the tool, and choose your dates. You'll pick up and return tools during open hours.

What if I return a tool late?

Please contact us as soon as possible. We'll work with you — especially if another member has reserved it.

Can I renew or extend a checkout?

Yes, if no one else has the tool reserved. Log in to MyTurn or ask a volunteer during your visit.

Do I need to have experience?

No. Our volunteers can help you choose the right tool and answer basic how-to questions. We also host free Repair Clinics on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month.

What if I accidentally damage a tool?

Accidents happen. Contact us promptly and we'll work with you on repairs or replacement. Intentional damage or negligence may result in a replacement fee.

Over 3,000 tools across categories including carpentry, automotive, plumbing, electrical, outdoor & garden, ladders, and measuring equipment. Browse the full catalog on the Tool Inventory page (/tool-inventory).

Are there tools you don't lend?

We don't lend tools that are in poor condition or pose safety concerns. Some specialty items may require a brief demo. Check the catalog for current availability.

Can I donate tools?

Yes! We accept tool donations. Please contact us first so we can assess condition and need. Monetary donations are also welcome and tax-deductible.
